These are the vital steps for the National Biometric Enrolment and Passport Modernisation Programme.
- Biometric enrolment is mandatory for all Citizenship by Investment (CBI) applicants and existing CBI citizens upgrading to the new biometric passport.
- Applications and biometric enrolment must be completed through the official Government of St. Kitts & Nevis portal, with an Authorised Agent facilitating the process.
- All applicants must complete biometric capture (fingerprints, facial scan and digital signature) at an approved enrolment centre.
- Existing CBI citizens must complete biometric enrolment and upgrade their passports by 31 July 2027; non-compliant passports are deactivated from 1 August 2027.
- Supporting documents are uploaded digitally after notarisation; physical photos, police reports and application stamps are no longer required in most cases.
- Passports are produced and dispatched only by the Passport Office in St. Kitts; delivery is handled through Authorised Agents together with an official letter from the Ministry of National Security.
